[The sun rises on another quiet day. Quiet because you no longer have any hallucinations toying with your mind. Those familiar faces have vanished to be replaced by those that are left with you. There's fewer of you, and there's once more an unshakable energy that things are soon about to go very wrong.

[From the bottom of the stairs, if he squints, he'll be able to make out a few faint splatters of red blood on the steps and low on the wall.]

[...Well, this is surprisingly gory.

Anything to note as he slowly makes his way up the stairs?]

[It's not a lot of blood, certainly a lot less than what's in the hallway, but there's a small splat of blood every two or three steps in roughly the same spot.

About halfway up, his foot nudges something small: a kitty hairclip.]

That certainly seems very important.]
