Two months. You've survived two months on this island.

It hasn't been easy, or even simple. This has been hard, and there are fewer of you now than ever. But you're still here. There's still something to be done.

Typhon hasn't been seen since his early abandonment of the trial, so you get to enjoy another lovely sunrise on the island, and the joy of reuniting with a friend. But perhaps "island" isn't the right word for it anymore. Those who have watched the ocean waves very slowly recede the past few weeks may have noticed just how far they've lowered. Down, down you can look now, down where the waters have settled and left the exposed land - and cities - to dry in the sun.

You're not on an island, you're on a mountain!

The temple, now near-pristine in its make, has one last floor to provide you. Looks like this is it; the center of it all.

[These cliffs are a lot farther down than they used to be. Vanity will be able to see the lands beyond, smaller mountain ranges and dilapidated shapes of cities uncovered by the sea.

It's all very, very quiet.]

[You know, she was focused on checking in on everyone here. But as if receiving an unexpected notification about something she wasn't thinking to investigate, a question creeps in. How dumb would it be to try scaling down the mountain a bit, does anything look close enough for this to be feasible in under a day?]

[To attempt to scale the mountain from top to bottom would be not only a long climb but a treacherous one. One look below her would show jagged cliffs further down, and offshoots around those. This isn't an easy place to scale going up.

There's also still the magic barrier keeping you safe within here.]

[Right, yes, Vanity would presumably remember the barrier on account of being able to see it even if a theoretical puppeteer might forget for a second.]

[Anything about the landscape below stand out besides how empty it is?]

[It, much in the same way as the rest of the "island" you've come to know, looks as if it's been dead for quite some time. And is only just starting to return to some semblance of life.

Cities squat in damp ruin, keeping to that same greek-roman aesthetic as everything else.]

[Man she wishes she had some binoculars or something. Anything else of note?]

[There's birds! Some sea birds fluttering round the edge of the barrier. Seems it's a bit annoying that they can't perch on the arena.]
