[Sometime mid-morning on Wednesday, the Eatery and Kitchen will suddenly be bustling with activity. First, the sounds of cookery start to trickle out into the hall, quickly followed by some delicious smells. If one peeks in, they might see Lebkuchen kneading dough while Cerejiera gives her some instructions on modern oven use. There are others chopping vegetables, and some point Ranma’s cooking something on the stove. Soon enough, food starts to come out and fill the table. Fresh bread and soup, various other dishes, as well as apfelstreudel and lebkuchen for dessert. To drink, there’s coffee (Vanity) and tea (Sayo) and some kind of fruity, delicious punch that combines peaches, grenadine and something almond-y, reminiscent of something familiar to at least one of you. At the same time, the table starts to be set up, plates and cups levatating through the air with alicorn magic while Aoi has been trusted with…the napkins. Once the table is mostly set, runners are sent out to invite (or strongly encourage, if needed) those missing to a lunch in the Eatery. Which is now for sure 100% safe from Rube Goldberg-esque accidents, courtesy of Alex.

So come in! Grab a seat, a drink, and some food. Time to get to know each other a little better.]

[once everyone is settled and has a bit of food and drink, Quark claps his hands together]

Attention! Attention, everyone! [he’ll wait until it’s a bit quieter, then:] Now, I know we already know a bit about each other from those profiles, but let’s make this official, huh? I know I tend to prefer to introduce myself, so consider this your chance to pretend like those statues out there don’t exist and this is the first time we’re meeting.

Small addendum! Since no one actually likes coming up with shit to say about themselves on the spot-

[Skill issue, Vanity’s tone seems to say.]

-I pulled a couple icebreaker questions for people to answer if you’re terrible at speaking.

[She clears her throat, slipping into what is obviously Manager Mode to anyone unfortunate enough to have worked a retail, office, or- …a job, anyone here who’s had to work a job.]

First, describe the best prank you’ve ever experienced or been a part of. Second, if you could add one rule to those at the pavilion, what would it be? And/or third, what’s one weird piece of trivia you happen to know?

[Come on everyone, spill your dirt.]

[Vanity’s here, she’s helping! She has a very large mug of coffee on top of what she’s set up to be shared by everyone else.]

Most of us are from different- worlds, universes? Universes seems like the best way to describe it.

[She takes a sip before continuing.]

Knowing what’s “normal” for all of us could be useful, so we’re less likely to talk in circles about shit. Best way to do that is probably to go over what is or isn’t familiar about where we are right now compared to whatever home is, since that’s pretty literally the only fucking point of commonality we for sure have to to work with.

We’ve had a few days to get settled in now, which means it’s about time we took a closer look around. Get to know our home away from home a little better so to speak. So on that note, I’ve divvied this place up into areas which someone could potentially go spend some time really going through. More of a fine tooth sharpener than a casual glance, if you catch my meaning. [he gives them all a significant look, like they should all understand what he means, clearly]

Then the next time we get together, maybe a day or so, we can share what we found, if anything.

Let’s talk domains. We don’t have to talk about who has which one, it’s right out there. [he gestures vaguely towards the door of the Eatery to indicate] Now, part of being here is renewing this place, and I expect we’re gonna have to work together to do it. Potentially some Domains are gonna mesh better with others, so if you have an opinion on that, now’s the time to speak up about it, make some connections and all that.

Continuing on that vein, if you’re here, you got some kinda power along with your domain when we became Gods. First, let’s talk about what we’ve been able to figure out about our powers and what they do. Second, if you’ve found a way to draw it out, do share with the rest of us, hm? In fact, who knows, maybe it could be a group activity. Something like that. [he waves a hand] The sooner we get these figured out, the better.

[Vanity clears her throat for a second, and when she next speaks, it’s a slightly echoing, crackly rendition of Athena’s voice.]

[She folds her arms, voice returning to normal.]

Meaning either dear Athena is suffering from memory loss, or more likely there’s a second actor involved in our arrivals. Anyone have any theories or thoughts on that, since Athena hasn’t been terribly forthcoming?
