Okay, maybe it hasn't been so easy. You've been enjoying a relatively pleasant time here with your fellow gods and Athena, only for a disgruntled Titan to seemingly pull the rug out from under that.

Despite the immediate threat from a hidden foe, you've managed to stave off their first attack. However, even if the grass may seem greener this week, or the sky a bit clearer, Athena can barely hide her troubled feelings. If this experiment is to be a success, what has to happen to make it that way?

You're all alive, though. That's worth celebrating, isn't it?

They are, aren't they? Not at all like the bats from my home! They came out of the cornucopia...but it seems perfectly natural to them, and they are friendly.

PERHAPS THEY PERCIEVE THE WORLD THROUGH ADVANCED HEARING AND VIBRATION? MOST CURIOUS. BUT THEIR FRIENDLINESS IS MOST APPRECIATED. THEY ARE ADORABLE. I WOULD HATE TO HAVE TO DESTROY THEM.

Well, there is hardly any need for any such thing. Nor indeed if more of them come out of the cornucopia! I am not quite sure how that came to be.

PERHAPS THEY WERE CREATED BY ATHENA’S MAGIC? IN ANY CASE, THEY REMIND ME OF TINY BLIND VERSIONS OF MY TEAMMATE, ROUGE. SHE IS ALSO A BAT, BUT SHE HAS EYES.

A speaking bat? We do not have those in my world, although I imagine Mikhail Sergeeyvich Manulov does.

[ Her full-naming everyone is STILL in full effect, and no probably she did not pronounce all of that exactly correctly but she is trying her best! ]

HALF THE POPULATION ON MY WORLD IS ANTHROPOTPHIC ANIMALS. I AM THE ONLY ROBOT ON MY TEAM. OUR LEADER IS A HEDGEHOG NAMED SHADOW. HE IS SIMILAR TO YOU, VERY “DARK” IN NATURE.

[ Omega strokes the head of one gently, and it screeches pleasantly in response. He’s careful with it, like he is with a Chao. ]

YOU ARE SIMILAR IN COLOR SCHEME. DRAMATIC. FOREBODING. POWERFUL. BUT YOU ARE ALSO MORE OPENLY GENTLE AND KINDER THAN HE IS. SHADOW RARELY SHOWS THOSE QUALITIES TO OTHERS...BUT HE DOES EXHIBIT THEM WHEN IT REALLY COUNTS.

I WAS MADE TO GUARD THE POD IN WHICH HE WAS BEING KEPT. HE WAS FREED AND TOGETHER WE AGREED TO GAIN VENGEANCE UPON EGGMAN, AS WELL AS GET THE ANSWERS SHADOW SOUGHT REGARDING HIS MISSING MEMORIES.

THE SOMEONE WE NEEDED WAS ROUGE THE BAT. SHADOW AND I WOULD HAVE DESTROYED EACH OTHER IN OUR FIRST ENCOUNTER IF NOT FOR HER. SHE WAS THE ONE WHO CONVINCED US TO BECOME A TEAM.
