Okay, maybe it hasn't been so easy. You've been enjoying a relatively pleasant time here with your fellow gods and Athena, only for a disgruntled Titan to seemingly pull the rug out from under that.

Despite the immediate threat from a hidden foe, you've managed to stave off their first attack. However, even if the grass may seem greener this week, or the sky a bit clearer, Athena can barely hide her troubled feelings. If this experiment is to be a success, what has to happen to make it that way?

You're all alive, though. That's worth celebrating, isn't it?

Hm? Oh, I could not even consider taking such fine teas from their intended! You should try them yourself. The Seiros tea is especially fine with breakfast.

I mean, can you really say this is "intended" when that horn sort of just spat them out at me?

[ She is not against tea, but she feels very awkward about someone else's tea somehow ending up in her possession. ]

No, no it is fine. Tea is meant to be shared.

[he looks quite pleased sharing his passion with someone else. Though after a moment:]

...though if you needed someone to brew it properly, I would be more than willing to do so.

[He looks affronted, but his eyes shift around like he's caught.]

W-well... I mean, it is QUITE a lot of tea.

[ Sir, why are you making this weird??? ]

It was your tea, after all. That's why I asked.

[He huffs and squares his shoulders. He is Ferdinand von Aegir, he should not be this awkward!!! Yet he finds himself feeling oddly anxious now]

I was not lying, I do want you to have it. I... would like to share, if that is acceptable?

[ Good because for all her bluster earlier, Velvet had no idea what Ferdinand was trying to get at. If it was her, she would've asked if they could have tea together right off the bat.

You know, assuming that was what her (former?) shut-in ass wanted.

But having it laid out more directly makes her relax a little, though now she has to contend with the bizarre notion that someone is actually asking for tea time with her. Excuse her? What alternate dimension did she step into??? ]

That's fine by me.

[he relaxes instantly]

Wonderful! When would be a good time for you?

...Well. I've got time now if you're free. Gotta put this stuff away first, though.

[ Including this cursed "son" and smuppet. ]

Of course, of course. I will meet you in the eatery.

[He doesn't even use his own tokens and just heads out right away]

[ At least Velvet tries to be quick about putting her newly gained loot away in her room, even if it's partially because she doesn't want to have to look at some of these things more than she has to.

With that done, she heads to the eatery to look for Ferdinand. ]

[he's not hard to find, he's setting up for a proper little tea party. There's no premade treats of course, but he has already mostly finished cutting up some fresh fruit. And the cups are already out. The kettle is heating up in the kitchen, the soft whistle of steam audible.]

[ Ferdinand has put in more effort than Velvet would have; she would've just made the tea and be done with it. ]

You really went and made this a proper tea party, huh...

Anything you are willing to do should always be done to the best of your ability, right?

[He looks quite pleased with himself]

More like anything you care about, but I think it's obvious you care a lot.

[He takes a moment to find words, surprised]

Haha... I suppose you are right! I like... structure. Tea and good company, a designated time to sit and enjoy my free time. This way I do not feel I am wasting time I perhaps should be using elsewhere.

[He certainly is a guy that doesn't seem to ever turn Off]

[ Velvet noticed that pause, which seems curious to her when she'd just happened to voice her mind. ]

...You know, I think that might be called workaholism?

[He snorts slightly at that]

[ Velvet isn't sure if she should be amused at his reaction, if only because in her view, it's him conceding a little. ]

If I'm not the first, then the point is probably valid. Speaking from experience.

[He sighs, finishing up the fruit]

I am... mostly aware of my own limits.
