Week Two
Okay, maybe it hasn't been so easy. You've been enjoying a relatively pleasant time here with your fellow gods and Athena, only for a disgruntled Titan to seemingly pull the rug out from under that.
Despite the immediate threat from a hidden foe, you've managed to stave off their first attack. However, even if the grass may seem greener this week, or the sky a bit clearer, Athena can barely hide her troubled feelings. If this experiment is to be a success, what has to happen to make it that way?
You're all alive, though. That's worth celebrating, isn't it?

Investigation
[She's mostly at the training grounds, scowling and beating the everloving stuffing, scientifically speaking, out of one of the training dummies.]
Fucking canning Athena, I'll be better-
[Later on when the rage has abated, she can be found scouring over the cornucopia, checking for- well, she's checking for some kind of mechanism or something she can understand about it, something to grab onto that's not just "magic", but she'll take anything significant.]
[Once that's been exhausted one way or another, she's got another pile of goodies, sorting through it and sourly munching on the plate of lebkuchen.]
[Finally, she can be found hunched at a table in the eatery, stirring a cup of coffee with the hard candy stick from a pack of Smile Dip and glaring down at a small red device.]
Even though Zubat has no eyes, it can sense obstacles using ultrasonic waves it emits from its mouth!
Fucking FASCINATING, now tell me how to GET RID OF IT.
[A hopeful looking bat flutters through the air nearby, circling Vanity's space.]
Investigation
There is patterns of carvings around it. Does Vanity know anything about the ancient Greek language?]
no subject
[With that in mind, what are we looking at here?]
Apologies for lack of response
Enshrined in little carvings in the stone are depictions of very general moments on a farm. Bulls pulling a plow, fields of wheat, and of course, the Cornucopia offering its bounty to what could be mortals.
And one depicting a figure with jagged lightning emanating from all around him, holding the horn aloft in triumph.]
ya good, mods
Training grounds
[It's a statement rather than a question, because he sure did see that outburst earlier even though he didn't say anything himself.]
It is not unfounded... had she been honest with us from the start, I have to wonder how many of our number would have accepted the bargain.
no subject
She can't really have known NOTHING.
no subject
She likely had at least some suspicions, if nothing else. Then again, those in power are wont to be willfully blind as long as it benefits them in some way or another.
no subject
[She folds her arms.]
And even if we're in so much danger she can't just send us somewhere else until this blows over even though she doesn't want out help. The whole thing fucking stinks.
Eatery
He pauses at the door when he spots Vanity...and her Zubat. He'll step into the room.]
I'd like to know that myself.
[dryly, inviting himself to sit across from her]
no subject
[like probably the garden, but she hasn't bothered checking]
THIS one just keeps hanging around staring at me.

Look. Echolocate, whatever. RIGHT THERE, go.
[She points towards the roosting bats. The one she's trying to get rid of swoops in to hang on the chair next to her's for a moment before taking flight again, unconcerned with its fellows.]
[Vanity drops her head to the table with a disgusted groan.]
Why.
[She looks back up at Quark.]
You haven't been feeding them or anything right.

Cornucopia
[Ranma returns to the cornucopia not to deposit more coins, but to investigate it further after some previous conversations about it. He initially leave Vanity to rummage around in her pile, about to stick his head in the horn and see what makes it tick...
... that was before something in the other's winnings catch his eye. The handle to a sword in a sheathe Ranma knows he's seen before. Why wouldn't he recognize the sword she carries with her everywhere she goes?
The cornucopia investigation can wait, this is more worth his full attention.]
Hey, lemme see that.
[Pointing at the sword sticking out.]
no subject
[Vanity picks up the sword, considering it for a moment.]
[And gives Ranma a wide grin.]
Say please.
no subject
[bitch.
without missing a beat:]
Pleeeease, Van? Be a pal!
[Insistently through his teeth, he really wants that sword.]
no subject
Ah ah, like you actually mean it. Politely.
no subject
[uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh
Sucks in a breath. Annnnnd]
Pretty please?
[Putting on the saddest, most pathetic puppy dog eyes for her.]

Eatery
[She hasn't been lambasted by swarms of Zubats yet, so seeing someone wanting to make a creature leave makes her feel bad for the creature]
no subject
[She waves the Pokedex a little.]
I could go on.

[Therefore, dealing with a Zubat shouldn't be much more difficult]
