Okay, maybe it hasn't been so easy. You've been enjoying a relatively pleasant time here with your fellow gods and Athena, only for a disgruntled Titan to seemingly pull the rug out from under that.

Despite the immediate threat from a hidden foe, you've managed to stave off their first attack. However, even if the grass may seem greener this week, or the sky a bit clearer, Athena can barely hide her troubled feelings. If this experiment is to be a success, what has to happen to make it that way?

You're all alive, though. That's worth celebrating, isn't it?

[His routine on Tuesday may have been disturbed. They might be in a solid bit of trouble now. But even the Dominion couldn't stop Quark from sticking around and trying to make a profit. So.

Once more, like the past several mornings, Quark goes out with a large toga as a surface and sets up shop near the bonfire. He sits in a chair that he's dragged out of the Eatery, arms folded, lost in thought.

After doing plenty of thought and having been outside for a couple of hours, Quark goes back inside with whatever remains, storing them away, before going to look for Vanity, and then Lebkuchen.

Finally, once he's done that, he's getting started on an idea that he had during that whole thinking bit. He can be found a couple hours later starting to hang up signs with Krazy Gloo wherever he can find space.:]

[Without even blinking, he fishes ten tokens out of his pocket and drops them on the bar. Definitely a steal compared to what he paid for this thing in the first place!!]

These are called magicaeli - they are incredibly powerful gemstones formed from magical energies colliding and coalescing into one. The most powerful, like this one, can only be created at the very top of the Aeli's Branches, very dangerous locations that are full of powerful monsters.

[Zvei pauses there, realizing that he could get into a long-ass explanation on his research and then deciding that Quark probably doesn't care about the specifics.]

The short version is that the magic contained within these is exceptionally powerful and can be used to bolster one's own magical prowess.

So it could be helpful to someone like you or Ferdinand.

It would be exceptionally useful for anyone capable of magic, but those with the know-how can also use it to bolster physical strength. Regardless, you are correct in that it's best suited to those who can fight.

Sounds pretty handy. Considering it sounds like you gotta go to some dangerous places to get them, I figure they're pretty rare, too?

Indeed! The strongest, like this one, can only be found at the very top of the Aeli's branches, guarded by some of the strongest monsters in Aelios. Retrieving them is exceptionally difficult!

[Quark blows out a breath at that.] I should'a charged you more for it.

[That gets a laugh from him!]

[Quark grins, wide and sharp, at that.] Better save your tokens just in case I get another one!

Oh believe me, I'll be hoarding them from now on, just to be safe!
