You've all met Athena, and she's made her point quite clear. She's fully committed to making this world better, and you're the ones who agreed to lend a hand. Something she's obviously quite thankful for.

It's really not so bad around here. Despite the sky, and the state of the land, things are fairly calm. You've got plenty of time to get used to it, and each other. Maybe this'll be easier than it seems.

Always! Though I will admit it is difficult to find ways to stay busy here.

True enough, since we're still figuring out our powers and all that.

But, that being said, I think I know just the thing.

[he turns away from him, giving him his back while he grabs a glass, a couple different fruit juices, and a small pitcher with some teabags in it? He'll mix those up in specific portions that are just in his head (it's eyeballed), along with a healthy amount of ice, which he swirls around with a straw. He then garnishes it with with a couple leaves, before turning and placing it on the bar in front of him.]

There. See how that suits you.

[what Ferdinand will get, if he takes a sip, will be a nice cold burst of peach, orange, guava and lychee juice mixed with a base of iced tea, and garnished with mint leaves and a slice of orange.]

[ ferdinand nods along- he hasn't had much luck with his so called power yet. But he's not worried- his natural skill will cover any lack until he powers through, like always.

He tries not to crane peek like a child, but his curiosity is quite peeked when he smells fresh cirtus. The tea is no surprise, but...

He eyes the drink for a moment: tea on ice? He never even considered it. But when he sips his eyes widen with delight]

Oh! Quark this is amazing!

[Quark grins widely at that, puffing up a bit]

What can I say, I know my drinks. [he takes that token off the bar, flicking it into the air and watching it spin, before catching it and tucking it away inside his jacket.

He then leans on the bar again, genial as ever.]

So! How's your first five days here treating you?

[he takes another long sip of his tea, hmming softly in enjoyment before he speaks]

Ah, one can not complain too much. It... is still all very surreal though.

Surreal's a word for it. [Quark nudges a bowl of salted peanuts a little closer, pointedly, taking a couple for himself and popping them in his mouth]

A lot of it's been unexpected, but the robot busting through the wall was definitely the peak, if you ask me.

[Oh, treats. He takes a few, popping one in his mouth. Salty!]

Robot... that is what he is called? I have heard stories that living puppets existed in ancient times, but to actually see one... he certainly gave me a thrashing!

As far as I'm concerned, that's what he is. We don't have a lot of them where I'm from, they're mostly out of fashion now, but this one seemed sentient, which is different. [he huffs, scowling] Unfortunately, it seems like it couldn't have a better personality.

He IS rather foul tempered isn't he! I am glad he seems to be weak to magic like any other armored solider.

Is he? Is that what you used on him?

Indeed! My magic is nothing to write home about. But it effected him rather well.

I'd call that something to write home about. [dryly, popping a couple more peanuts into his mouth]

Anything that can shut something like that down, I'm all for. Space travel might not exist in your universe, but magic doesn't exist in mine.

... I suppose when you put it like that... Magic is supposedly a gift from the Goddess, but it flourishes outside Fodlan, in nations that do not know Her.

So in theory I would not be surprised if anyone here could learn it, if they wished

[Quark sounds mildly curious about that, if skeptical]

Alright, go on, then.

[ Ferdinand sputters, almost choking on a peanut and having to take a drink of his tea to keep from coughing]

Put me on the spot why don't you??

[Quark smirks, widely, at that reaction]

What? You said anyone could learn it, didn't you? So c'mon, teach me some magic.

[As he says that last word, he's spreading his hands, jazz-hands-like, clearly ribbing him]

Not if you are not going to take it seriously.

[Quark affects a shocked--nay, insulted expression]

Now why wouldn't I take that kinda thing serously?

I have taken 'space' as serious as I possibly could, it is not fair to tease me for my apparently unbelievable thing.

[At that, Quark's teasing subsides to an amused grin, holding up his hands in surrender]

Alright, alright. Magic is real and it can be taught to anyone. I believe you.
