You've all met Athena, and she's made her point quite clear. She's fully committed to making this world better, and you're the ones who agreed to lend a hand. Something she's obviously quite thankful for.

It's really not so bad around here. Despite the sky, and the state of the land, things are fairly calm. You've got plenty of time to get used to it, and each other. Maybe this'll be easier than it seems.

[She doesn't seem to notice Quark at first, staring down at the melted hairpin. Oh, she won't be able to wear it like this, will she? She hadn't thought about that when she stuck it into the socket.

Then again, that Aoi's story was over. It had been worth it for--

...oh. She's crying. She doesn't seem to notice when she finally does speak up.]

Tokens. Aoi has some drinks and a space man. [She pulls Buzz Lightyear out of her sweater pocket.]

You know what, on second thought--[Quark bends down to scoop up that hair pin, reaching out to take Aoi's free hand and pressing the pin into it]--why don't I put it on your tab and you can pay me whenever you get more of those tokens, huh?

[Aoi looks at him, a bit confused for a moment both at the generosity and not fully getting what a tab is, but eventually she nods.]

Mmhmm. Aoi'll work to pay Quark back. You can have the poster that popped out for Aoi too if you want it.

[She holds the pin close to her chest.]

Somebody important gave this to Aoi.

Uh, sure, poster, that's fine. [he doesn't know what he'd do with a poster but listen if it settles things, he'll take it.]

Yeah, I figured, considering. [y'know, that whole reaction.]

Considering...boop boop?

[Aoi touches her face and notices the wetness by her eyes.]

These...are they happy or sad tears? Aoi's not sure.

Aoi is happy to have it back, but...

[Sorry. Quark may be a few flags away from getting a trauma dump if he's not careful.]

reach out and, with one had on her arm and the other on her shoulder, guide her around the toga he's laid all his stuff out on to his side of it, nudging her to sit down next to the bonfire]

Well, if you're not sure, the bonfire's a good place to think about it. Really good for thinking, bonfires. Or so I've heard. So you can have a think, and I'll, uh, just be at my shop.

[At his shop, he says, like it's not just barely a couple paces outside the actual bonfire, and that he won't be able to hear her just fine if she does say something or needs something. But also he does not have a drink to offer her after that reaction, which is definitely what he would be doing were they at his bar, just for the buffer. This is the next best thing, essentially.]
