Week one
You've all met Athena, and she's made her point quite clear. She's fully committed to making this world better, and you're the ones who agreed to lend a hand. Something she's obviously quite thankful for.
It's really not so bad around here. Despite the sky, and the state of the land, things are fairly calm. You've got plenty of time to get used to it, and each other. Maybe this'll be easier than it seems.

Well, as a goddess I must assume you can easily defeat me. But as long as you do not intend to take my life... how could I turn away a once in a life time chance? I can only learn from such a battle.

[No one says that.
Maybe she does.]
Don't worry, I'll go easy on you. No "smiting" around here. [She raises her spear and taps the ground with it.] I'll let you make the first move.

[ And with no hesitation or further gentlemanly posturing he darts in. His 'lance' doesn't just stab out, but jabs out in multiple rapid strikes as he uses a combat art on her.
She is a goddess after all, if he wants to not embarrass himself he must treat this like life or death]

She's raised her spear to block the attacks. Can't let this be easy, now.]

He can feel the tickle in the back of his mind that he associates with the power that flared when Omega attacked him, but his attempt to reach it flounders. Damn it. So instead he turns the jabs into a wide powerful swing. It's a bit sloppy but his decent heft gives it some power, a bit of frustration in his attack.]

So, as she steps back again, her foot finds a dip in the earth. Not enough to stumble, but she's not doing any big counters at the moment.]

As if guided by the world, Athena raises her spear and brings it down right on top of Ferdinand's staff. Stopping the attack just short of her knee and "blade" locking them.]
You're definitely well-fought, Ferdinand von Aegir.

[He doesn't drop his weapon, keeping the tension up even though he is completely pinned down. His power simmers still in his eyes. It whispers all the ways she could have destroyed him by now. Without any true effort.
A few years ago he would have been broiling with frustration. Like he had been with Edelgard. But time and humility found at her axe gave him some perspective]
But I doubt you intend to let me show off for long.

[Maybe she could destroy him. But where's the fun in that? He knows, and she knows. So why not give it to him?
She's quicker now, in a burst of speed, she's kicked up the two of their weapons. Her spear, twirled around her, goes down low before rising up again to knock the staff clean from Ferdinand's hands.]

She lowers the point of her spear to the center of his chest.]
Do you yield now?

But in the end the glow fades from his eyes and he smiles, raising his hands]
Never let it be said Ferdinand von Aegir can not lose with dignity!
[idk man tell Vanity that after your race]
