It's really not so bad around here. Despite the sky, and the state of the land, things are fairly calm. You've got plenty of time to get used to it, and each other. Maybe this'll be easier than it seems.

Y-yeah. Yeah, that's...not worse. [ You're right! It doesn't! ] And, like... It's not like what we've been given here really, uh, reflects on us anyway. Right?

Precisely! It's likely just a mockery of an old nickname I had, anyway.

I have never succeeded in bringing anyone back to life, though. Truly an ill-fitting title.

What have you succeeded in to, uh...get that kinda title thrown around?

Well, I am quite the skilled healer. I have managed to bring someone back from near-fatal injuries before. But the emphasis is on near, there. My magic can only do so much; I cannot restore lost limbs, for example.

[This is absolutely not the reason, but let's not get into that. We will be here for five+ hours if he actually gets started talking about his research and Alex will be horrified.]

...I'd be way more surprised if you could, honestly.

[ the healing magic culture shock is huge right now, so yeah, that is probably a good idea. ]

Kinda...surprising, then, that you got the...you know, that. Seems like you'd be a much better fit for what I got than me.

"Life", is it?

[Opposite ends of the spectrum. So Alex is probably like, an actually good person.]

I imagine there must be some reason as to what domains we received, so perhaps we should ask Lady Athena about it the next time we see her.

[ He should...go back and study everyone's better. So he can remember. That'll probably be important. ]

She's been...really forthcoming so far, so... I guess, yeah. Just asking's the fastest way to get an answer.

I doubt she has any reason to keep that from us, anyway. Understanding why we were chosen for these roles and how best to fill them can only benefit her, after all.

[ Alex makes a soft sound of agreement, though... ]

It's all...a lot to take in, isn't it? That we're gonna...somehow fix this place. Be gods.

It is quite a difficult idea to get used to.

But I'm sure she knows what she's doing, even if we don't. With any luck, she'll prove to be a good guide for us.

Well, I see no reason to doubt her word right now. "Faith" is perhaps a bit of a stretch, though. I'm not particularly religious.
