You've all met Athena, and she's made her point quite clear. She's fully committed to making this world better, and you're the ones who agreed to lend a hand. Something she's obviously quite thankful for.

It's really not so bad around here. Despite the sky, and the state of the land, things are fairly calm. You've got plenty of time to get used to it, and each other. Maybe this'll be easier than it seems.

[Crito peers in to where Misane has crawled in, and -]

If you don't mind us needing to be rescued later because we got stuck, go ahead.

[There's a definite non-zero chance of that happening!]

[About halfway through that sentence, Crito’s already crawling in.]

We can get Athena to help us out - she has to.

She might be too busy to come. There's a lot she needs to do.

[Or at least that's Misane's deduction, from how Athena took a while before she appeared before everyone.

There's now Misane, kind of pressed against the inside of the cornucopia horn of plenty, her face against the smooth stone. She doesn't seem very bothered right now despite the uncomfortable situation]

There’s no way she could ignore her chosen few in peril!

[Right?? Right??

Crito seems to be squashed into a ball of sorts, but otherwise unbothered by it. It’s not like they have bones anyway.]

That would be a complete oversight of her responsibilities as a God.

Taking anything for granted seems a little dangerous.

[Not that she distrusts Athena! She just thinks she might not come when called. Athena doesn't seem very approachable]

Ehh, what’s the worst that could happen?

The horn collapses and we perish embarrassingly?

This baby looks pretty solid to me.

[They slap the side of it for good measure. Donk.]

Then it gets dislodged from the floor, and it rolls down a cliff and into the sea, taking us along for the ride.

[She can't help but think of Alex when she says that. Would he think this is possible...?]

[They're on board until the sea thing.]

Wait - I don't wanna get washed away!

Don't worry. I'll keep you afloat.

[As if, she's not a good enough swimmer for that]

[Small gasp.]

I'd say you would do the same for me but I don't think you would.

[Really straightforward, she is. Still, she doesn't mean that in a malicious way, so she clarifies:]

Because I feel you don't think death for others is a distressing thing.

[Therefore they may not feel like saving someone's life is urgent]

[Damn, they’ve been caught. At least - they don’t seem to have any sort of negative reaction to that assessment.]

Well, gee, I know that dying can be gruesome and all, but once you die, you get to spend eternity with Mother.

[Said like that really balances it out.]

Plus, it’s not like it’s not gonna happen at some point anyway.

That's true. I don't plan on dying until I'm about ninety.

Well. She’s only the most benevolent and kind goddess out there! She loves and dotes on the dead like nothing else! You couldn’t ask for someone more understanding, charitable, or fair!

So everyone would be pleased to be near her. The sort of goddess you'd want on your corner.

[It's hard to think of gods and the such since she comes from a rational, non-magical world, so instead she's thinking as if Crito's mother is just a very influential individual]
