It's really not so bad around here. Despite the sky, and the state of the land, things are fairly calm. You've got plenty of time to get used to it, and each other. Maybe this'll be easier than it seems.

I am being careful. You don't see me throwing them all over the place, do you?

No, and that's a good start. But scrolls like these could be really old and fragile... Even touching some of the burnt ones could cause irreparable damage--

[wait. actually.]

...Are you... sorting them?

I'm trying to, anyway. A lot of the ones I've gotten so far are completely illegible or useless.

[murchada]

Yeah. I've gone through a lot of them myself already.

So, what's your system?

[latinumsbetter]

Illegible, Mostly Illegible, Pretty Illegible, Partially Illegible, Somewhat Illegible and Legible.

[murchada]

And are you sorting them inside those categories?

[latinumsbetter]

I would if there were some in any category other than Illegible and Mostly Illegible.

[murchada]

Some of them are alright... but most of them are damaged. [she sighs.] I was hoping maybe you'd had more luck.

I went through eighty-six works yesterday and sixty-four of them were beyond hope.

Sounds like you had a lot more luck than me.

[murchada]

I still didn't get much out of it. This place needs a full restoration and reorganization effort.

[latinumsbetter]

No kidding. [he huffs, setting down another scroll in the "Illegible" pile] The question is who's going to do it.

[murchada]

Oh, I will.

[oh, that was actually just. very direct.]

[latinumsbetter]

[Quark blinks at that, once]

Oh. Really?

[he sets the scrolls all back down]

In that case, I'll just leave the rest of this to you.

[murchada]

...You could help, you know.

I could. But then I would deprive you of the joy of all those hours of orgnization. I would never!

[murchada]

Oh, how generous of you.

[latinumsbetter]

That's me. I'm quite a generous guy.

[murchada]

Lucky me.

Then, I'm sure such a generous guy will volunteer to check my work after.

Woah, now, I wouldn't go that far. There's a limit to my generosity, you know. And I've got so much other work to do.

[murchada]

And what'll I get if I do?

[this is where she runs into trouble. there isn't much she can offer, is there?]
