Week one
You've all met Athena, and she's made her point quite clear. She's fully committed to making this world better, and you're the ones who agreed to lend a hand. Something she's obviously quite thankful for.
It's really not so bad around here. Despite the sky, and the state of the land, things are fairly calm. You've got plenty of time to get used to it, and each other. Maybe this'll be easier than it seems.

It takes some time and tweaking the code to get a recipe exactly how you want it, but a good cook can figure out how to make something delicious, nutritious, and cost-effective.

It can't replicate everything, of course. There are some things that just won't replicate, like latinum, dilithium, antimatter, that sort of thing. Or, well, you can replicate dilithium, but it can't do it correctly without expending more energy than its worth as a fuel by a significant amount.
That being said, they are why space stations and ships don't need to rely on oxygen supply tanks anymore. As long as you have energy connected to the replicators, they can function as a life support system in an emergency by replicating breathable air.

And finding ways to better terraform previously uninhabitable places is a subject of aggressive research by more than a few companies.
