You've survived, for lack of better wording, the latest week of trials and tribulations. This one had been more costly than most: Typhon's machinations have brought your group to nearly half the size it was when Athena first brought you to this island. Whether it ends with him or with you is still too soon to make out. One thing's for certain. Things cannot be allowed to continue as they are.

Speaking of continuing, the next floor has been revealed to you. Just how far down this island goes is a bit of a mystery, but you get the feeling that you're close to something important. Maybe that thing Athena wanted you to find before Typhon does. You can ruminate on that as you watch the waters below. Waves still lap at the cliffs, but it all seems lower than it did weeks ago. Like the ocean itself is shrinking...

[ There's this long stare of someone trying to decide how she should react to this. Like, genuinely, this is not what she was ever expecting. ]

[ And then she just sort of deflates with a groan that's part exasperated and all "I can't believe I'm saying this shit". ]

To be clear, I'm still mad at you. Should have put my heel in your throat at least once. But I assume the others have given you as good as they've got and then some. [ Or at least they BETTER have. ]

But speaking as one shitheel to another, if you really mean it...good luck.

[ She actually smiles a bit at the first part.

It is probably kind of a nasty smile, considering what it implies, but she's undeniably proud of Alex, that's for sure. ]

[ But then she takes another deep breath. ]

And I think you've already guessed this, but also just to be clear again—I hope you're prepared for the ordeals ahead if you want to even hope to apologise to him.

[jeez you all really rallied around seymour, huh.]

I hope you all are looking out for him.

[And then, like that somehow got something in his brain to click:] It's his decision to make whether I'm allowed to apologize or not, and I'll respect it. But at the very least I sincerely hope that some of you can reach out to him.

[He won't say a damn word about what Seymour told him in confidence, but he can't help but be worried. Whether he's involved or not, Seymour deserves so, so much better than what he's been given.]
