Wednesday Group Lunch
[Sometime mid-morning on Wednesday, the Eatery and Kitchen will suddenly be bustling with activity. First, the sounds of cookery start to trickle out into the hall, quickly followed by some delicious smells. If one peeks in, they might see Lebkuchen kneading dough while Cerejiera gives her some instructions on modern oven use. There are others chopping vegetables, and some point Ranma’s cooking something on the stove. Soon enough, food starts to come out and fill the table. Fresh bread and soup, various other dishes, as well as apfelstreudel and lebkuchen for dessert. To drink, there’s coffee (Vanity) and tea (Sayo) and some kind of fruity, delicious punch that combines peaches, grenadine and something almond-y, reminiscent of something familiar to at least one of you. At the same time, the table starts to be set up, plates and cups levatating through the air with alicorn magic while Aoi has been trusted with…the napkins. Once the table is mostly set, runners are sent out to invite (or strongly encourage, if needed) those missing to a lunch in the Eatery. Which is now for sure 100% safe from Rube Goldberg-esque accidents, courtesy of Alex.
So come in! Grab a seat, a drink, and some food. Time to get to know each other a little better.]

Girl, we need to talk. You can’t just—offer to strip in front of everyone! We have kids, a cat—-we have a nun! Plus who knows if any of those guys are perverts!
no subject
[Well, her friends had a similar reaction to her trying to strip.]

It is alright!
[An automatic response, blurted out. She is usually the one in that place; she does not like seeing it on someone else.]

You don't think Aoi's weird, Princess Luna?

Mmhmm. We still have to learn about each other if we're gonna help rebuild.
...do magic horses not have video games?

[dont worry about why!]

[She's considering this.]
You don't know? Is it because you're too busy being a princess?

..........I am very old.

[Well, yes, she's not seen any of them without clothing on besides Mikhail. It must be a human cultural thing.]
Ponies usually just wear clothes for aesthetic reasons, or if it is cold. But I suppose you are all very bald! You must be chilled often!

[A lie but like some people are naive here let’s not traumatize the Honse.]

Cw: sexual implications
cw: sexual implications, toxic masculinity??
[What Wendy says about her specifically makes her pause though.]
Innocent...
Nobody's...ever called Aoi that before.
cw: sexual implications, toxic masculinity??
[She sighs, letting the breath she was holding out.]
Sorry. Sorry… I know I can be a control freak. I just didn’t know what to think and…
[Is Aoi innocent or dirty? Who knows, Wendy doesn’t and she really doesn’t care.]
I’m sorry.
cw: sexual implications, kiiinda slut shaming?
[Wendy's concerned over her? Even if Aoi's weird and dirtier than she can say right now?
There are only a few people who have been this concerned for Aoi before.
Having another makes Aoi feel happy.]
Don't worry about it.
[A ghost of a smile shows on Aoi's face for a moment.]
What's Wendy's sister like?
no subject
[Just putting it out there!]
Julie is… a wild child. She’s a couple years younger than me and she’s already snuck out of the house more times than I can count.

Wild child...what's she sneaking out to do?
Cw: teenage tobacco use
[Wendy breathed out a laugh.]
I think she stopped after her friend’s dad quit smoking.
cw teen tobacco use
Friends...are supposed to look out for each other, right?
cw: um. disassociation and gore?
[Wendy's silent for a moment. For a moment it's like she's staring off into space. The screaming of the horse. Julie's sheer panic. The sounds of the crowd. Amber and Perry crowding in.
The soft thud of the flagpole. The warm spray of blood on her face.
Wendy blinks. Swallowing.]
Friends... are definitely good.
[It just sucks when you lose them.]
