Afterparty
[After the execution finishes and Wendy is dragged down into the Earth by that absolute horrific monstrosity of a creature and Typhon gives his goodbye, Quark will stand there for a long moment in the silence, before announcing, in a voice that wavers while trying to go for neutral:]
The bar’ll be open. Sitting around alone isn’t going to help anyone. [he turns to look at Ferdinand] Ferdinand, you’re with me. I need someone to move the table.
[and, taking Cerejeira’s elbow, he’s going to head out of the Arena. So...post trial, the Eatery’s been moved into bar configuration by Ferdinand and Quark. There’s been several of the extra togas gathered and folded to be used as blankets. There are snacks from the pantry brought out and placed on plates and in bowls and left out to eat. The bar is open, but so is the kitchen, if anyone wants to make something.
Both Ferdinand and Quark can be found behind the bar, the latter attempting to teach the former how to use the replicator he’s now got back there in addition to the other drink components. At least it’s keeping them busy. They’re both there to serve drinks, however.
The door is open.]

Really committing to the bit, huh.

Bit? What do you mean?

I am committed. Even putting aside the traditions I'm familiar with, I think it's only fair that the deceased are given something in exchange for being used in this sadistic excuse for entertainment that Typhon is running us through.

[Her with these shrouds, Quark actually donating his personal stash for Alex-]
We didn't really have anything like this where I was from. It was mostly-
[She looks around at the afterparty.]
...okay, people had THIS, but it was more about the living than for the deceased.

[Her voice is. Somewhat dryer as she says this.]
But there are some who throw grand parties in celebration of the departed's life. Their accomplishments, or just the effect they had on others. Some don't want their passings to feel dreary.

You think there's anything to the-
[She waves a hand a little.]
-I dunno, mystical religious type side to it all?

As for here...
[She hums in thought.]
Honestly... I'm not too sure. If we're the only gods left, then anything we do by default would be religious, don't you think? But on the other hand, there's nobody we're praying or offering to with these rituals, so it seems a bit redundant...

[A god that doesn't believe in the afterlife sure feels like it should be commentary on something.]
Offering them to your own memories of the dead, maybe. No shame in being a little selfish with a giant firedick trying to kill us all.

[Not really judgemental at all. She's just kind of amused.]
Honestly, I think it's perfectly fine to be selfish if it in any way spites him or inconveniences him at all. Focus on yourself or the others rather than give him the time of day, and perhaps his tantrums will wear out eventually.
[She knows that's not true, but. She refuses to give Typhon any fragment of respect, even as an opponent in war.]
