Afterparty
[After the execution finishes and Wendy is dragged down into the Earth by that absolute horrific monstrosity of a creature and Typhon gives his goodbye, Quark will stand there for a long moment in the silence, before announcing, in a voice that wavers while trying to go for neutral:]
The bar’ll be open. Sitting around alone isn’t going to help anyone. [he turns to look at Ferdinand] Ferdinand, you’re with me. I need someone to move the table.
[and, taking Cerejeira’s elbow, he’s going to head out of the Arena. So...post trial, the Eatery’s been moved into bar configuration by Ferdinand and Quark. There’s been several of the extra togas gathered and folded to be used as blankets. There are snacks from the pantry brought out and placed on plates and in bowls and left out to eat. The bar is open, but so is the kitchen, if anyone wants to make something.
Both Ferdinand and Quark can be found behind the bar, the latter attempting to teach the former how to use the replicator he’s now got back there in addition to the other drink components. At least it’s keeping them busy. They’re both there to serve drinks, however.
The door is open.]

How are you holding up? Would you like a drink?

Eventually, he returns, Fritz the German Shepherd at his heels. From then on, the two of them will be behind the bar. He's there to make drinks and to make sure that Ferdinand doesn't destroy anything on accident. Fritz is there to get underfoot and also look cute.]
cw: body horror?? crimes against humanity and the sanctity of life??
Fritz the dog sleeps outside. There isn't really a lot notable in here...except for the thing on the bed.
It sits next to Eyelex the Eye-Pod, who alternates between looking at it and the door. It's...noisy. Crying like a newborn baby bird. Looking like a newborn baby bird, fetal and ugly.
And made entirely of clay.
Alex did say he had one more thing he brought to life. One more thing he was taking care of. ]

[That's the first word out of Aoi's mouth when she reaches the bar again.]
Oh. Can Quark make another one of those tomato juice drinks? Aoi got one from Ferdinand before, but it tasted...different. There's no aftertaste.

The bracelet...Aoi has to fix it.
[Whenever that resolves, Aoi heads over to the bar still looking deflated and clothes stained with oil.]
Boop boop...Aoi still doesn't understand how the Death Alex and Wendy talk about thinks. If it was always gonna bad end, why give them the chance to reload...?

Eventually he does show up at the afterparty however, with two chickens in tow. Drumstick is the curious one who will wander over to you, and Nugget is more well-behaved, picking at the bread crumbs Zvei's leaving out for her. Zvei himself seems a little more subdued tonight for once, though the usual smile reappears with ease if you approach.]

She knows a bar isn't really the best place to work, but the others want to gather. So she'll attend the gathering. She'll take up a spot in one corner of the room, taking up the blue toga first. Unfolding it and tearing at it a bit so it can straighten out, she unrolls the case, picks out a needle and spool of thread from the large assortment, and begins to work.]

Eventually, naturally, she goes outside to raise the moon again. She performs it about the same way as last week, flying and all; seems that's part of her process. When it's finished, she spends a while walking slowly about the grounds, sticking mostly to the grassy areas when available. She even ventures to the forest; though she doesn't enter, she stands and looks into the shadows under the eaves for a while.
Eventually, she returns to the pavilion. There were not many wildflowers outside, so she's supplemented with some fruits from the garden: apricots and strawberries, mostly. These, she lays at the feet of the statues of the dead. Wendy gets some too, but it's Alex who she goes to look at when she's finished. ]

Along with the usual flowers there are vines at her feet, wrapping themselves around her ankles. They cling to her, as if trying to stop her. To tell her she doesn't have to do this. ]
...It's all right. There's no sense hiding it any longer.
[ It happens in a blink of an eye. One second Lebkuchen is there. The next she's not. Or more accurately, the flesh and blood form of Lebkuchen only just returned to her is not.
In its place a soft light shifts into place, creating an image of Lebkuchen - a ghostly specter, bathed in gold from head to toe.
Well... not quite toe. The bright red shoes are the only thing not golden. They were not hers originally, but even the offerings He decides to keep must wear them. They are a gift after all. A gift from Him to His beloved herd of lost souls - His Golden Maidens.
She lingers there, staring at the statue that felt like a mockery of her frozen appearance at times and the plaque that she's wanted to smash into a million tiny pieces since she first saw it. All the plants previously at her feet wilt and die. The flowers. The vines. All of it. If any other plants are nearby the start to suffer the same.
Her spring reprieve was nice while it lasted. ]

[She settles on ignoring it for now and preferably forever.]
[Which for the moment means finding her way into the kitchen and grinding up and brewing some of the Very Good Spacegrown Coffee the cornucopia gave her. First a single mug for herself, and then- yeah she's just shoving a few appropriately-sized pots under the coffeemaker and using those in place of the carafe. Sorry not sorry Winions, she doesn't trust the repair job you've done.]
[Later on she's in the main area of the temple, just. Kind of puttering around. Literally, she has the putter and ball she retrieved from Alex, gently shooting it across stretches of the floor towards a small cup borrowed from the kitchen.]

[Ranma doesn't show to the afterparty, at first. When the trial concludes, he first makes a beeline to the laundry room. The tight timeframe and general chaos of the investigation meant he couldn't wash his shirt then. So here he is now, staring at the darken blemishes that've started to dry. A reminder of his failure. He couldn't save Alex, after he talked to him about starting anew with a second chance. And he made the same stupid mistake and went down the same stupidly wrong path and threw suspicion onto the same person yet again.
That's two for two now. Ranma keeps the solemn look as he puts in his bloodied shirt and the detergent, bowing his head.]
... Sorry Alex. Sorry, Wendy...
[Few minutes after turned on the washer, does he finally attend the bar. One will find him seating on one of the tables, with a plate with an assortment of food he grabbed without looking. If he isn't scarfing it all in one go, he's pushing it around with his fork absentmindedly.]

Eventually, though, she shows up. She's got a handful of tokens, for once, though she doesn't make a move to order anything, and also a skeleton bird and a little bottle of black nailpolish. She spends most of her time watching the bird explore the bar/table in front of her, pinching off bits of various snacks, and offering them up to the creature with a dull interest. The bird is not biting! ]
... It's no good, is it? [ she sighs, setting a piece of pita off to the side. It joins a bunch of olives and some cheese! Alas, the necromantic bird is not interested in mezze. ] Ah, well.

ANNOUNCEMENT
Alright, attention everyone! If I could have your attention here.
[he'll wait briefly until he's got at least most of the room's notice]
Alex, he, uh...he wrote some letters. This first one is for everyone, so I'll, ah, leave that on top of the bar for people to come read. The one thing I'll mention from that is this thing, here. [he's hefting the odd creature he's got tucked in the crook of his arm and swaddled in a blanket]
He left behind this little guy, which apparently he did trying to resurrect Crito. He asked us to take care of it.
[so there's, uh, that. He sets that initial letter for everyone on the bartop.]
There's also some letters here for Leb, Aoi, Misane, Jeira, Luna, Ferd, Ranma, Aglaea, Velvet, and, uh, Vanity. So you can come and get those from me, or if they're not here, I'll get them to those people.
[he stands there, a little awkwardly for a moment, before]
That's all.
no subject
[Misane sure approaches for the letter, taking it. Let's see...
Oh.
Once she's finished reading it, Misane slowly and carefully folds it before stashing it away. She finds it hard to say what she's feeling from reading this. After a long moment of silence, she realizes she's still standing there by the bartop, and approaches Quark]
I need the eye creature Alex had with him. Mind coming with me to retrieve it?
[If Quark didn't bring it along, that is]
