Afterparty

[After the execution finishes and Wendy is dragged down into the Earth by that absolute horrific monstrosity of a creature and Typhon gives his goodbye, Quark will stand there for a long moment in the silence, before announcing, in a voice that wavers while trying to go for neutral:]

The bar’ll be open. Sitting around alone isn’t going to help anyone. [he turns to look at Ferdinand] Ferdinand, you’re with me. I need someone to move the table.

[and, taking Cerejeira’s elbow, he’s going to head out of the Arena. So...post trial, the Eatery’s been moved into bar configuration by Ferdinand and Quark. There’s been several of the extra togas gathered and folded to be used as blankets. There are snacks from the pantry brought out and placed on plates and in bowls and left out to eat. The bar is open, but so is the kitchen, if anyone wants to make something.

Both Ferdinand and Quark can be found behind the bar, the latter attempting to teach the former how to use the replicator he’s now got back there in addition to the other drink components. At least it’s keeping them busy. They’re both there to serve drinks, however.

The door is open.]
literarybehemoth: he looks as though he's been told a very bad joke and is the opposite of amused. (something something mondays)

Ah, I am aware. Astarion got them out of it, which means that I am possibly at the mercy of it and others... unless there is some catnip growing on the island and I can roll my own.

[does catnip have the same adverse effects as nicotine....??????]

There are many kinds of plants that can grow if parts of them are planted. Is there any chance catnip could be one of them?

[Botany isn't her strong point, so what does she know]

Hmm... I have never been much for gardening. I have one plant I have managed to keep alive for quite some time, but it feels more like a tenacious survivor than anything...

Lebkuchen would help with that. She has plants growing literally wherever she goes.

[Oh, Misane, nooooo...that's changing right while you speak]

Hmm... it may be worth considering. Though, it is not as though I cannot do without... they are simply nice. Especially in a situation like this.

[he just wants the happy cat grass while everything is going to hell : (]

...at this point anything to make us feel a little better would be welcome.

[That's an admission she's also not doing all that great. She's used to death and investigating and the such, but cases generally don't involve her friends]

...

Indeed. There are always distractions, of course. But that is all they are, at the end of the day.

I think there's nothing wrong with embracing them for a while...it probably is good for one's health.

...Yes, you are correct. So long as you do not bury yourself in them, they are worthwhile. Unfortunately, it is somewhat easy to do so.
