Week four
Two more of your fellow gods, your companions, your friends, have met their end together. As you turn in for the night, and a new week dawns upon you, it's starting to be a bitter experience. Just how much of this will you be forced to take?
But all isn't just despair. The morning is brighter than the last. The storm clouds that previously plagued almost every day have dissipated, and this week brings plenty of sun and a friendlier breeze. Not to mention, another floor of this strange temple has revealed itself. Whatever lies within is your domain, not Typhon's. Keep it tight in your grasp, because you never know when you'll lose it.

Quark's Bar

If Alex and I could do it together, you should have no problem.

Let us go see this art.
[he must admit, even as sad as the reason is, he's curious]
no subject
That's it, there. He didn't want anything happening to it, but didn't know what to do with it, so we put it here for now.
no subject
...yet he can sense a kind of pain from it. Maybe he's projecting so soon after their friend's death.]
What a fascinating statue...

[ looking at the sculpture with that in mind he quickly finds his eyes watering.]
Ah. Damn it. Forgive me
[He rubs his face and gives a steadying sigh]

[ they all had the same look in their eyes as Alex did too. Regardless of if he was pumping magical healing into them or pushing them off his lance. 'Please, not like this']
But... it really was too unfair. It makes it all much worse to accept.

I... hm. I suppose it would be foolish to ask how you are managing. You were fond of him.

I'm managing. I'm not closing down the bar or anything.
[he doesn't quite look at Ferdinand, but he does incline his head]
You?
no subject
I think... I am more angry than sad, at this point.
[He kneels to start lifting the sculpture (with his knees!)]
I should only need you to brace it.
no subject
Alright, I can do that.
no subject
[ and up it goes! It's industrial steel, so far from light. Ferd huffs and puffs a bit to get upright but once he is it's not too bad]
You will need to... handle the door!

I think... I deserve... a discount on my tab for this!
no subject
[though it IS funny to watch him waddle lmao. On the bright side, the pavillion isn't TOO far away, so he doesn't have to go far.]
no subject
My noble nature is being used against me!
[ not a long walk at least! They reach the statues and he puts the sculpture down next to Alex's with upmost care]
no subject
...there.
no subject
It is a bit clashing compared to the statues. But... that makes it all the more fitting, doesn't it?
[ a momunmemt not to the would-be god but the man. Messy, but well loved]
no subject
He suddenly feels very, very tired. And then, quietly.]
...someone's got to manage.
[neutrally, though there's a slight slump to his shoulders and a solemness to his expression that wasn't there before]

Adults. Yeah, sure, by letter of the law. [There's a dry tone to his voice, though it doesn't quite cover an odd mix of bitterness and fondness in there. Quark quiets again, arms folding over his chest as he just...stares at that statue]
Y'know, my nephew's in Starfleet.
