Week four

Eventually, though, he wakes up from that, and once more goes about his day. Sort of. This time, he has Alex’s creation to take care of, as well as a dog. So that’s the first order of business, figuring out how to swaddle it again. He ends up in the pantry with a crying not-Crito-creation and a whining dog]
Alright, alright, look, I’m trying to figure out what something like you eats!
[this, unfortunately, does not seem to make the anyone make less noise about it.
Once that’s all figured out, however, Quark is going to go find Ferdinand for a very specific task. After that’s completed, he’s going to head downstairs to investigate their new floor. He’s going to walk through, slowly, seeing if he can hear anything that most people wouldn’t pick up.
After he’s taken a measure of the floor, he’s going to go look for Velvet. He has a couple questions to ask.
Finally, in the evening, he can be found, as usual, at the bar.]

After a quick investigation of the newly opened floor, it might not be a surprise to anyone who's read enough of the profiles that Aglaea makes a beeline straight for the bath house.
... Maybe bath house is a bit of a strong word. It's not even a fragment of the size of the Marmoreal Palace, barely even larger than the Hero's Bath for the Chrysos Heirs. But it's a fine bathing chamber, the smells and sounds of the fresh water cascading into the pool sinking deep into her bones before she even steps in.
After a quick return to her room to cleanse as best she can and not sully the waters of the bath, she returns - and for the sake of the others who might not grasp the full luxury of a bath like this in the nude, grabs one of the offered swimsuits. There's... almost an eagerness to Aglaea that hasn't been seen in the past weeks as she steps into the bath, and when she settles shoulder-deep into the water besides one of the cascading falls, she lets out a deep, satisfied sigh.]
Ahhh... now this was worth the wait.
[Later - much, much later, late into the evening - Aglaea finally emerges from the baths, finally relaxed and more at ease after the horrors of the past few weeks. She wanders over to the library, idly skimming through books and scrolls, until the title of one scroll catches her eye. With a hum of curiosity, she pulls it out, skimming through it.... and sighs.]
... Hm. I'm not surprised their story would ignite the fantasies of others this way...

Of course, there's always some fun things to be obtained from the cornucopia... Or maybe not. Zvei is immediately going to try to get that horrible book open because he has a one track mind and that mind is set on Knowledge. And also the horrible book is just funny. But later on perhaps he's playing a certain someone's regain and nodding like He Totally Gets It Now. Or maybe you can find him chasing after the Zubats and trying to befriend them. Take your pick, there's a lot to work with here.
Later on in the day he's gone to check out the new areas! Unsurprisingly, Zvei is immediately making himself at home in the library. No, he is not leaving for the rest of the day. He is forgetting to eat and he might even forget to sleep with how many books there are to look through. He cannot be stopped.
Chances are you'll come across him with numerous books in hand (and tentacle) flipping through the pages as he looks for something of interest; some he puts back, but most are placed in a growing pile at his feet... oh god there are so many books already and he's only barely started. This is exactly the kind of hell he enjoys. Of course, he'll eventually notice you, and wave a free tentacle in greeting.]
Good afternoon! Evening? Hmm, I seem to have lost track of time... Regardless! What do you think of our new library? I can confirm the selection is quite amazing!

Lebkuchen is in her physical form again now at least. Her veil is gone, removed by Cerejeira after the trial, though her hair is still braided for now. The rest of her habit is still stained from Friday, which brings her to the laundry room today.
Usually it'd be the machines that confuse her (and they do, but she can just keep washing things in the sink if she gets too lost) but it's what she actually wants to do with the habit that has her pulling the hem out and giving it a contemplative look. ]
The oil's going to be harder than the blood I think...
[ Later on she'll be in the kitchen, baking like usual. The usual bread and lebkuchen for the bar are being worked on but...
...well she's suddenly in a mood to make pretzels this time too.
As they cool she finds herself idly twisting out of her braids in her hand. ]

So, I suppose this makes you my sidekick. [Not assistant, because it can't do much other than looking...so instead it gets named her sidekick] Listen, I'll need you to pull your weight. Go check on everyone and return to tell me how they're doing.
[Perhaps this sidekick could be used as a lookout during the nights, to obtain information that could prevent someone's death. Worth a try!
That's why, no matter where you are, you might feel the unrelenting stare of Eyelex, the eyepod thing looking straight at you without blinking. Hiiiii. Even if you look right back, it doesn't stop staring.
Misane is nearby, though! With a book from the library, pretending she's unaware of what's going on. If looked, she'll raise the book a little to hide her face a bit, because she's not absolutely unflappable like Eyelex is]

First he is at the stables- wait, I said he was doing something different today, didn't I? In fact, he is. He's in the paddock with Liora. The Fodlani horse is without her battered armor, and has a long leather line tied to her halter. One walking up will spot her trotting in a massive circle along the edge of the paddock, with Ferdinand as the axle of the loop holding the line. He too is dressed down- no armor, no coat, no cape, hair tied up out of his face. In the hand not holding the lunge line he has a crop that he taps against his knee... occasionally raising it to give a sharp swish through the air which makes the horse speed up. He never strikes her, of course. It is more the sound being a trigger for her to run.
Seems horse soldiers need workouts too.
And if you're very lucky you might catch him saddling her up and and taking her around the paddock- finally, gloriously, riding. It is a sight, this bright idiot really was made for the saddle. By the end of the session they are full running, kicking up dirt and dust, Ferdinand laughing in mad delight.
In the evening he goes exploring- finding the channeling room. What a strange place... he makes his way to the center seat, plopping down and prodding at the burners- he recognizes censers when he sees them, even if these are a bit different. What kinda herbs are we looking at here?]

C'mon, roll over. [Pet, as the teen is laying down on the floor, staring intensely at a lethargic gopher that stares back with half a braincell bobbing around its head like a dvd screensaver.]

... Blink? [It. Blinks out of sync, closing one lid at a time. Close enough, with Ranma giving a reluctant sigh and a head scritch. That'll do, gopher. That'll do.]
[One item in particular struck Ranma's fancy. Which is why he moves to the training ground. His recent haul sitting behind him, a panda doll wearing the straw hat in front of him thirty feet away, Ranma stands there in the middle. Wearing that tourist attraction t-shirt (crummy design but he can finally add some variety to his wardrobe) and the gun-heeled boots, and a sleepy gopher resting on his shoulder adorned with a fez. In one hand, he tosses a rubix up and down gradually completing and undoing it each times it lands in his hand at incredible speeds, without breaking eye contact with the bear doll. In the other hand, he's clutching a ruby tapping into its power. Or, well, attempting to.
Technically speaking, if he takes it for a spin before actually telling Zvei, he isn't breaking any promises made. And it's all for the progress of science! Sciency-magic!
New locations don't go unventured by the martial artist. First up, the bathhouse. Due to the nature of his curse, the warm water'll keep him as a guy. Thaaaaat isn't stopping her from assuming her girl form and using the changing room to try on that onepiece swimsuit she got from the horn. Hey, you never know if Aoi's beach event will come to fruition and they actually get a pool or beach! She's got to be ready should that happen. And gotta say, she... wants her tokens back, tbh, pursing her lips to a moue.]
Man, so drab... Not nearly as nice as the ones from home.
[Priorities, what are they? He will eventually change back to male, put on some swim trunks provided by the bathhouse and lounge in the water like it's a jacuzzi, letting loose the most content sigh of his young life. Oh yeah, that hits the spot.
The library is next on Ranma's list. Finally, actual books! And actually something he can do to kill time! He begins scouring and skimming through the shelves, finding none of these strike any bells for him, apart from a few that while he normally wouldn't touch, its presence did compel him enough to read. The pigtailed teen will be found in the middle of catching up on Romeo & Juliet, sitting atop a small pile of books he either pulled off the shelf or already read. He'll put them back, promise! There's a ting of astonishment in his voice, speaking aloud:]
Huh... That's how it ends?

MOTIVE: The World Does Not Tend To Forgive

[Looking up, all that’s there is a swirling mass of clouds. Instead of threatening to storm, however, they begin to part in the middle. Like a great curtain opening on a play - and it’s almost exactly that. Somehow, images begin to play of an argument between two ‘friends’. One familiar, the other not.
And what an argument it is.]
What a pity. Past regrets, embarrassing moments, shameful reminders. If only they could simply vanish, eh? Well, that is what I am offering to you, now.
Bloody your hands this week, and I will fix your greatest shame. If you refuse, I will bring it to bear for all in the world to see! The choice… is yours.

Then, of course, it's time for another threat from Typhon.
Luna does stay up in the clouds for quite a while after that. She's quite high up, but it's stormy and the skies are otherwise clear. It isn't hard to see where she is. You can...yell at her from the ground if you want?
Either way, she doesn't sulk up there all day. As the afternoon moves into evening, she finally flaps back down and heads into the kitchen to look for some food. Or...make some coffee? Yes, yes, she's making some coffee. ]

(the dark circles forming under his eyes as the weeks go on are not an issue, honestly. We're all tired in this house! Right?)
But this morning he seems over the clouds. And honestly even more distracted than usual as he does his morning work. Not in a bad way! Though one of the pegasi does nip him as he mucks and bumps into her while his mind is elsewhere. But the dopey smile on his face is telling of something, that's for sure.
After his chores he goes right to the kitchen and, well, good luck getting in there to make any lunch, as it looks like a tornado in there. Someone is, dear god, baking It's not as bad as one might expect- nothing smells burnt and while he's messy as fuck with flour all in his hair, the treats he's trying to make don't look or smell awful. He doesn't look happy with them though.]
It's too sweet...
[Anyone who is experienced with such things... they look like little cakes and biscuits for tea. Huh, wonder what that's for?
In the evening he settles into the armory, going over the options. Lifting a few spears and testing their weight, and eventually sitting down to polish some armor pieces that look to be around his size]

She spends some time in... the library, actually, because well. There's books. And where there's books, you know what's public domain? Grimm's Fairy Tales.
So she spends a few solid hours in here just. Reading. And looking at some other fairy tale and folklore books as well, but... it's hard to avoid the grown woman reading fairy tales with a look of distaste? Probably?
She also, naturally, finds a second copy, under entirely different credentials. Maybe slightly different, from someone else's world. ]
How many Snow Whites are there...?
[ She starts a list, it seems, of authors. The Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson, Charles Perrault, Walter Elias Disney... then starts cross-referencing. ]
They can't be hard to find, this Disney has his own industrial company...
[ Oh. It might be a hit list. Hm.
Later on, she goes to the fire pit as the sun sets. And well, she's a princess! So clearly, the thing to do at a moment like this is to sing a lovely song. ]

Initially the stuff she gets seems fine. A lot of junk, some clothing items, some food she'll have to give away, a pile of plushies she has to narrowly avoid being buried under... but a few things stick out. The garmentmaker and the opossum in particular really get her attention, though she has no idea what an opossum is (why is she thinking of that "rat" the village children love to play with right now?????) and get set aside.
...But then there's the plush goat, which makes her start to feel uneasy. She did not interact with Him in that form before but she knows about it now and all the talking she's done about Him lately makes it all seem like an omen. But it's just coincidence, right?
And then she opens a wooden box and shrieks.
She drops it immediately, letting it fall with a heavy thud. The lid clatters off from the force, and a red shine glimmers off the shoes as they catch the light.
She takes two steps back, but her wide eyes do not move from the shoes. Her hands tremble and then she's rushing to kneel in front of the box.
She has to get rid of these now. ]

The shield gets set aside with a note to herself to show it to Ferdinand—he needs his enrichment. She flips through the book and has quite a face journey as it dawns on her who it likely belongs to, then also puts it aside. Opens the packet out of curiosity, only to immediately seal it back when the smell gives her a coughing fit, by the dragons.
It's when she examines the quartz crystal and realises what she's got that she lights up in a way pretty much no one here has ever seen her do. She looks positively ecstatic, which may as well mean the world's ending. ]

At the moment, he's sorting some things into piles first. The appearance of a bottle makes him perk up. He removes the cap and takes a whiff, making a curiously pleased sound, before he tips the bottle back for a sip. His expression brightens.] Oh, that's good. [he sounds quite pleased about that, setting the bottle aside. He goes through the same proceedure when he finds a bottle of The Good Stuff. It's enough to make him start humming as he continues to sort, through the rest of it. He also sets aside a very nice embroidered suit, looking at it admiringly. It's far too big for him, but that doesn't mean he can't appreciate the tailoring.
At some point, takes a moment to put his hands on his hips and stare up at a certain statue while chewing on a pretzel.
Eventually, once all of that's dealt with, he goes looking for Cerejeira, Aoi, and, if he doesn't catch her at his regains, Luna, individually. At his heels, as ever, is Fritz the German Shepherd (though now followed around by a beige Eye-pod,) and Critwo strapped to his back, probably snoozing.]
