Week four
Two more of your fellow gods, your companions, your friends, have met their end together. As you turn in for the night, and a new week dawns upon you, it's starting to be a bitter experience. Just how much of this will you be forced to take?
But all isn't just despair. The morning is brighter than the last. The storm clouds that previously plagued almost every day have dissipated, and this week brings plenty of sun and a friendlier breeze. Not to mention, another floor of this strange temple has revealed itself. Whatever lies within is your domain, not Typhon's. Keep it tight in your grasp, because you never know when you'll lose it.

[Well more like jogged but still]

[ Because that's what Ferdinand (or like, most anyone, really) is worried about, clearly. ]

[ Like, is it going to be a third, more terrible thing? ]

...I don't want anyone to see any of it.

[He feels a bit bad that he can't think of what Typhon would even expose of him. Not that he's lacking in shame- but most of it has already been long bared to the open air and eyes of his peers. And he has no regrets in what led him there anymore]
Is... there anything I can do, to ease your worries?
no subject
[ Is there anything anyone can do, actually? Velvet doesn't know how to ease her own worries to begin with. She wants to hide in her room so no one can see her try to ride out her anxiety and the sense of impending doom.
Instead, she finds herself saying, ]
Can you just...stay for a while?
no subject
[He smiles slightly, it not reaching his eyes at all. He looks to the door still slightly between them, head tilting. He won't enter a lady's room without permission]
no subject
Her room is no where nearly a cluttered as his, but stuff has nonetheless accumulated in the shelves and end table thanks to the cornucopia. In one corner of the room there's even a stack of wood she'd collected from the forest. ]
Uh. Have a seat?
[ Velvet, the bed's the only place to sit besides the floor. ]

You...don't have to sit on the floor...
no subject
[he's blushing regardless tho]
no subject
[ Velvet maybe you should have thought of that earlier??? ]

But in the end he is here for her sake- not his own honor. So with a sigh he stands and goes to sit at the bed's foot]
no subject
...Then, starts internally sweating because now it sinks in that oh shit, oh fuck, she had a visitor in her room, and he's also sitting on her bed (that is thankfully big enough that they can both sit without it being a tight squeeze, but that's just a small mercy) while she had no idea how to make conversation. Shit. Fuck! ]
Um...
no subject
[He smiles again, trying to be bright. A beacon away from the grim thoughts that Typhon tossed onto all of them.]
We can just... relax here.
no subject
I, uhm... thank you, still. [ For entertaining that somewhat impulsive request of hers. ] You really didn't have to.

no subject
Well...there is something I ought to tell you, anyway.
no subject
[He tries to shove down the anxiety of what he might hear. It can't be good with how scared she seems to be about it.
Assuming it's the motive, anyway. He shifts around a bit, trying not to let his mind wander]
no subject
no subject
[because of course that's what he remembers]
no subject
That...wasn't because of whatever power I had before here. Not quite, anyway.
