Week four

Two more of your fellow gods, your companions, your friends, have met their end together. As you turn in for the night, and a new week dawns upon you, it's starting to be a bitter experience. Just how much of this will you be forced to take?

Sure it is. That's like saying two people from a transporter accident are exactly the same.

[Ah. Right.] In my universe you can move instantly from one place to another within a certain distance via transporter. It's rare, but once in a while there can be an accident where something interferes with the transporter and because of that, someone gets cloned.

[he shrugs] Like I said, it's rare.

...Right.

Well, I mean. You'd still feel guilty enough if your exact copy did something, right? It's still you.

Nope. [he says that with total confidence] That's someone else. If it happens, that guy's gotta figure out his own life.

[murchada]

...Man. Sometimes I wish I was as easygoing as you.

[Quark barks out a laugh at that]

I don't know if that's what other people would call me. But I don't see how some other guy's choices, even if we were originally the same person, reflect on me. I didn't do it. He did.

Everyone's going to agree with me if it comes up, y'know.

I'm not sure they'd care if it was literally me doing it either, though. None of it's... real, to them.

[maybe that's a little unfair. but the distance does make it easier. not their world. they only ever knew each other here, so all that matters is their actions in this place.]

Other than you've kinda told me what servants are but I'm not sure how the goddess got there.

Don't get hung up on the details too much. We're dealing with gods here, too.

But does it make you look at me differently, knowing I ordered something like that?
