It's really not so bad around here. Despite the sky, and the state of the land, things are fairly calm. You've got plenty of time to get used to it, and each other. Maybe this'll be easier than it seems.

[ She's not...quite sure how to feel about this. ]

[ She can at least turn "moving furniture randomly" into far more of a triviality. ]

I think it will be easier for me to move some of these things.

[ She saw you with that weapons rack... ]

[ His eyes drift down to her hooves. ]

[ Her horn starts to glow with blue magic, and the rack is enveloped in the same glow before lifting up into the air. ]

—Whoa, shit...!

[ Taking a few steps back because he is an easily frightened woodland creature- ]

...Oh. No, that. That makes...sense. Horse magic.

Only unicorn ponies can use magic such as this! But it is the most common form of it - ordinary unicorns will have this, and typically some spells relating to their own particular talent.

[ She'll set it all back down again, if it's where we want it. ]

[ Yeah! Yeah, that's where we want it. ....he thinks? oh god stop overthinking alex. ]

Unicorn. Right. Sorry. [ his eyes drift to her wings. ] Uhhh. What did it- alicorn? Is that what those stalker-plaques said?

It means that I have both horn and wings. And the magic of earth ponies, though that is more difficult to see. It comes in encouraging the growth of living things, and the health of the earth itself.

All that magic comes with...being a princess?

The other way about, really. It is why we became princesses at all - my sister and I.

Nay, 'tis a diarchy. Celestia and I rule together.

[ You know. Supposedly. In theory. ]

And there's nothing like...royal about it? Passed down through blood or whatever?

Ah! No, no. The government of Equestria prior to ours had collapsed with the Lord of Chaos's coming. We defeated him, and thus founded the new age of the kingdom. But we are immortal, and neither of us has ever had foals.

[ Unless, like, Celestia isn't telling her something. ]

There are mortal ponies of our line, descended from other long-ago relations. But they are...not terribly impressive.

[rockymountaindie]

[ Immortal gets his eyes to widen a little. ]

You...can't die? Wow. [ After a moment- ] Sorry for all the... I get, uh, curious sometimes. All this...magic and stuff, it's new to me.

We might still be killed. At least, I think so.

[ But it hasn't happened yet, and certainly they have both survived things that an ordinary pony would not. Like. Hypothetically the vacuum of space? ]

But we will not age past this point, unless we were to give up our power.

[rockymountaindie]

[ luna is honestly sounding more and more like a god before all of this. ]

You wouldn't be an alicorn then anymore, right? You'd just be a...normal horse- pony?
