Week one
You've all met Athena, and she's made her point quite clear. She's fully committed to making this world better, and you're the ones who agreed to lend a hand. Something she's obviously quite thankful for.
It's really not so bad around here. Despite the sky, and the state of the land, things are fairly calm. You've got plenty of time to get used to it, and each other. Maybe this'll be easier than it seems.

[Nodding attentively.]
Wouldn't surprise me if becoming gods and gettin' new powers did screw with our abilities and bodies. [like, gods are supposed to be immortal for example. are they still mortal? tho that isn't a line of thought ranma's raring to find out.] It isn't everyday people actually reach that level of ascension, least not that I know of. Here's hoping it's only temporary.
[Cause if not he's gonna want a refund on godhood.
One thing Zvei said did catch his attention.]
Mana?

Mana is the innate magic present within all beings - at least, in Aelios. Granted, if there was no mana present here at all, I'm not sure my spells would even work...
[He is so damn curious about the differences between worlds, but like, maybe we have a mana-equivalent. Or maybe his godly powers extend to "you can cast your magic here regardless". Or maybe it's just jamjar mechanics.]
Regardless! A mage draws upon both natural mana present within the world itself and their own mana to cast spells.

[The answer? ~*Handwaving away tons of power logistics for the sake of rping blorbos*~
On the topic of mana-equivalent, Ranma's certainly listening with great interest. The way Zvei describes mana...]
That all sounds like ki.
[Stating plainly, before going on to explain since he knows he'll get asked anyway.]
Ki isn't magic like your mana, it's the life force every living thing has, where I'm from. And with enough physical and mental trainin'...
[He cups his hands together, and like before, there's a faint golden hue that surrounds him. That same orb of pure energy manifests in his hands only this time it doesn't flicker out.]
Anyone can consciously tap into it and use it.

[that word no longer looks like a word and we are only in week one. save me.]
A similar, yet different aspect of the world that can be tapped into for power... My, I could spend all day chatting with you about ki! But I'll try to limit my questions so I don't bore you too much.
Let's start with this: how did you learn to harness ki?

[rip
no no, please bore him to death o' god of death! He'll gladly blab on and on about martial arts until he's blue in the face]
Every martial artist has their own form of unlockin', but the general gist is pushing yourself beyond your own limits through rigorous physical trainin'. Mentally, that's typically done through understandin' your place and connection to the world and those in it. Meditation's the go-to method there.
