Bar Mingle: Week 2

Every evening at dusk (unless, for some reason, Quark is indisposed,) the Eatery transforms into Quark's Bar. The table becomes a bartop with chairs lined up on one side. Some of the extra chairs are placed along the wall behind the bar as a makeshift bench for ingredients, glasses, ice, and anything else. There are bowls of peanuts placed on top of the bar for free snacking. On one end of the bar there's a selection of pastries, fresh-baked by Lebkuchen, who might also be there.

As of Monday, there are some new additions to the bar. On one end of the table is a interesting look board game. Next to it is a plate of lebkuchen, left out for a specific bunch of fuzzy creatures that seem to like them.. In another corner is a roulette-esque kind of game.

In the rafters, there's a whole swarm of Zubats now, and one or two of them might come down to say hello. If they do, Quark is shooing them away again, but they only go back up to the ceiling.


Outside the door to the Eatery is a sign, handwritten, and further inside, the menu tacked up in a couple places behind the bar:

Thank you. [Did this count as an offering? Ah, she wasn't keeping track. Gingerly, Athena takes the drink and lets it swirl in her hand.

She muses over her thoughts while staring into the drink. She knew very little about the Bajoran, but this looked quite appetizing.]

Yes, if I'm going to kill Typhon, I'll need a proper weapon.

[She sips.]

[there's a pause--and then Quark blows out a breath, leaning on the bar across from her]

And what qualifies as a proper weapon to kill a titan?

A weapon forged by the gods themselves. One that helped lead this land to its doom.

[Sip.]

I just need to finish finding it. I know it's out there.

[Quark blinks at that because hmmmmm????]

So...you want to find a weapon that helped make this place...like this. [he sounds a little bit dubious because that sounds Incredibly Dangerous but also--]

How do you go about finding something like that?

[mygoodbye]

I wouldn't be using it like that. [She makes a face.] You can have a bit of faith in me, I hope.

I'd already been searching for artifacts that survived. Most things were washed away in the tide, but... I'm sure I know where it is. If it holds any power still, it would be a great boon against Typhon.

[he huffs] I know you wouldn't. [that he sounds quite positive about, despite himself]

So that's an "if" on it being a boon. [his lips press together a bit, a furrow in his brow] ...you think it's worth it, though. [it's not a question, he's just confirming.]
