Bar Mingle: Week 2

Every evening at dusk (unless, for some reason, Quark is indisposed,) the Eatery transforms into Quark's Bar. The table becomes a bartop with chairs lined up on one side. Some of the extra chairs are placed along the wall behind the bar as a makeshift bench for ingredients, glasses, ice, and anything else. There are bowls of peanuts placed on top of the bar for free snacking. On one end of the bar there's a selection of pastries, fresh-baked by Lebkuchen, who might also be there.

As of Monday, there are some new additions to the bar. On one end of the table is a interesting look board game. Next to it is a plate of lebkuchen, left out for a specific bunch of fuzzy creatures that seem to like them.. In another corner is a roulette-esque kind of game.

In the rafters, there's a whole swarm of Zubats now, and one or two of them might come down to say hello. If they do, Quark is shooing them away again, but they only go back up to the ceiling.


Outside the door to the Eatery is a sign, handwritten, and further inside, the menu tacked up in a couple places behind the bar:

Do we get to know what and where this weapon is in case you beef it and we have to kill Typhon ourselves when he inevitably comes after us too.

It's called the Blade of Olympus. It's a sword of tremendous power, thought lost to the waves. But I've recently been able to locate where it should be.

The location being written down or otherwise recorded in case of emergency where, exactly..?

Nowhere. It was lost like this world was.

[Athena raises her arm. On her forearm, materializing from wisps of light, a pure white owl perches on it. It gauges Vanity and Athena with solidly blank eyes.]

I was scouting the region for some time before you all were brought here. I believe I've narrowed down its location to a small area north of here.

Speaking of, do we have some way of knowing IF you've managed to cack it? Will the barrier drop or something?

There's a set of islets up there. I've seen numerous wrecks shattered on their cliff faces, so it's ideal if I travel by air.

Nothing so extreme. If I find it, I'll return as fast as I can. The barrier is my own design; it will keep the worst of the world outside, for now.

Oh, no, I mean if you fuck up and die. Or get as close to it as gods usually can.

If I die then... the barrier would vanish. And Typhon would be free to enter these grounds. You would also be without a way home, unless the other gods reach here in time to aid in your protection.

Let's ensure it doesn't reach that point.

Hang on, what other gods? I thought we were here because they were all dead.
