It's really not so bad around here. Despite the sky, and the state of the land, things are fairly calm. You've got plenty of time to get used to it, and each other. Maybe this'll be easier than it seems.

[ It takes Luna a little bit to really notice what Alex is doing with all the equipment. She'd been flying around over head, not actually looking to use the training grounds at all. But after a little observation, she flutters down to get a closer look. ]

[ Without looking up: ] Tryin' to limit the chances someone'll have an accident.

...they are only training weapons.

[ Training accidents do happen, but that's almost a guarantee sooner or later. Besides - an accident with the rack itself? ]

That doesn't mean anything. Everything's got the potential to be something deadly.

[ this is just normal to him i'm so sorry luna. ]

....I suppose it might. But I do not think it is really terribly likely?

[ Not enough for him to be out here like, moving furniture? ]

[ He's had enough public breakdowns that Luna has the gist of the Death entity, but: ]

[ ...Alex remembers, he is not necessarily dealing with the Death he's familiar with and stops, letting out a sigh. Time to pivot. ]

...very well, I suppose...but you need not make everything entirely safe. 'Tis likely not possible.

[ She's not...quite sure how to feel about this. ]

[ She can at least turn "moving furniture randomly" into far more of a triviality. ]

He looks up, frankly...surprised. ]

I think it will be easier for me to move some of these things.

[ She saw you with that weapons rack... ]

[ His eyes drift down to her hooves. ]

[ Her horn starts to glow with blue magic, and the rack is enveloped in the same glow before lifting up into the air. ]

—Whoa, shit...!

[ Taking a few steps back because he is an easily frightened woodland creature- ]

...Oh. No, that. That makes...sense. Horse magic.

[raisethemoon]

Only unicorn ponies can use magic such as this! But it is the most common form of it - ordinary unicorns will have this, and typically some spells relating to their own particular talent.

[ She'll set it all back down again, if it's where we want it. ]

[rockymountaindie]

[ Yeah! Yeah, that's where we want it. ....he thinks? oh god stop overthinking alex. ]

Unicorn. Right. Sorry. [ his eyes drift to her wings. ] Uhhh. What did it- alicorn? Is that what those stalker-plaques said?

It means that I have both horn and wings. And the magic of earth ponies, though that is more difficult to see. It comes in encouraging the growth of living things, and the health of the earth itself.

All that magic comes with...being a princess?

The other way about, really. It is why we became princesses at all - my sister and I.
