Bar Mingle: Week 2

Every evening at dusk (unless, for some reason, Quark is indisposed,) the Eatery transforms into Quark's Bar. The table becomes a bartop with chairs lined up on one side. Some of the extra chairs are placed along the wall behind the bar as a makeshift bench for ingredients, glasses, ice, and anything else. There are bowls of peanuts placed on top of the bar for free snacking. On one end of the bar there's a selection of pastries, fresh-baked by Lebkuchen, who might also be there.

As of Monday, there are some new additions to the bar. On one end of the table is a interesting look board game. Next to it is a plate of lebkuchen, left out for a specific bunch of fuzzy creatures that seem to like them.. In another corner is a roulette-esque kind of game.

In the rafters, there's a whole swarm of Zubats now, and one or two of them might come down to say hello. If they do, Quark is shooing them away again, but they only go back up to the ceiling.


Outside the door to the Eatery is a sign, handwritten, and further inside, the menu tacked up in a couple places behind the bar:

[Round and Fluffier poofs from the wheel and reappears on it's stomach on Ferdinand's shoulder, dizzily holding it's head with a paw.]

Good-bye Hermes! "Bye-bye, darling! Good luck with better world! Dangerous to go alone, take these! Don't know what to do with them!"

[Huh. It sounds like they were a present to Athena before she left home. How...thoughtful?]

[A relieved gasp- they would be kinda fucked if there's another fissure without her]

Hermes... a friend of hers perhaps?

[He digs in his pocket and gets some dried meat he carried for Derick and offers it to the Winion on him]

[It accepts the treat happily! Good news: they're apparently omnivores otherwise it might get a tummy ache.]

Notably their energy signatures are separate but perfectly identical to one another.]

[ Hmm!!!!! That, in combination with the ever-increasing number of auras showing up around them, makes it definitely worth a visit.

So uh timewise I guess she's just kind of peering around Velvet as she attempts to Grandpa Simpson... ]

[They're just lil guys! So fluffy and minion-shaped.]

[Whether she knows they're here in the bar specifically is a whole other question.]

[ He spins around to face Quark. ]

LOGICAL REASONING POINTS TO YOU, QUARK. DO YOU ACCEPT THESE CREATURES AS YOUR MINIONS?

[he's holding one of them now so]

Them? Sure. You? No. I'll say it again, rustbucket: Get out.

And yet you seem obsessed with being closer to me than I would ever want you to be. This is my bar.

I WILL NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO BE HARMED. THIS INCLUDES YOU.

[oh that--that'll pull out a full on snarl]

Don't you get it?! You are a walking, talking, trigger-happy threat! You don't hesitate to pull out those guns or to shoot up an entire room or drag someone into the middle of danger! You're an unpredictable weapon who could kill anyone at any time, and claim that you were just trying to protect us!

I'd rather take my chances with that freak Tiphon any day than you. At least he doesn't think he's doing me a favor!

[ Omega stares at him for a long moment, letting that just hang in the air. He doesn’t show any reaction, he simply. Looks at Quark.

Then he spins his upper body around, followed by his lower, and marches over to keep an eye on the Winions from across the room. ]

Across the room doesn't count as out! [shouted after him. He'd be very, very tempted to keep snarling and trying to chase him out entirely, but he does have a Winion in his arms that he's trying to teach Tongo to. So at least that keeps him from pursuing this whole thing, though it doesn't stop him from sending a suspicious and distrustful look Omega's way now and again, wary]
