Week one
You've all met Athena, and she's made her point quite clear. She's fully committed to making this world better, and you're the ones who agreed to lend a hand. Something she's obviously quite thankful for.
It's really not so bad around here. Despite the sky, and the state of the land, things are fairly calm. You've got plenty of time to get used to it, and each other. Maybe this'll be easier than it seems.

Her circumstances feel a little too good to be true but if any of what she's been told is remotely accurate, Ai has no choice but to play along. She has no idea what being a god even entails, let alone a goddess of entertainment, but if getting this right means she can go back... no, if it means she can see Aqua and Ruby again...
She'll just have to do her best.
Training seems like a good place to start. There's not really much of her usual routine she can do here, but running is easy. To her relief, the spare outfit hung up in her room is her usual workout gear, so she slips into her sneakers, ties her hair up and gets to moving. She spends a while doing laps around their living quarters with the sort of pace and poise of someone who clearly knows what they're doing. She's mostly moving to clear her head but if she realizes she's been spotted, she'll flash a smile. ]
Wanna run with me? I won't make you keep up, I promise.
[ Eventually her laps take her to the cliff arena. She's not foolish enough to get all the way up to the ledge and risk falling but she at least has a nice view of the sea from up here. And the breeze is a relief after all that running.
If she hears anyone approach, she'll speak up without turning around. ]
Do you think there's anybody else out there?
Cliff
[He tilts his head a bit to glance at her]
Why'd you ask?

[ She pauses for a moment so she can heft herself up a little higher and point over the wall - not enough that she's risking a fall but enough to give a better vantage point. ]
There's nothing out there. No other islands, no boats, no nothing. We really must be out in the middle of nowhere.

It would surprise me more if there were someone here.

it disquiets her even now. still, when ai speaks up, sayo glances over. it's a good question. with a hum: ]
... We'd best assume not, until we have more to go on. It isn't as though it makes a difference to us in here, does it?
Re: cliff
[ A salt-scented breeze rolls in from the water, whipping her hair back from her face. It's a shame, she finds herself thinking - Aqua and Ruby would love to see a view like this. ]
It's pretty, at least. It'd be nicer if we had a proper beach to hang out on.
no subject
[ the salt air is reassuring, honestly. ]
Oh, a real beach would be wonderful, wouldn't it? I didn't often use it, but the island where I work has a wonderful stretch of beach... I think I might miss it.
laps
[Luna, as she often is, seems surprised to be approached at all. Running isn't a regular habit of hers, not since well before she had royal duties, but...]
Ah - yes, I...suppose we could do that. I can keep pace with thee!
no subject
Honestly, you might just outrun me. You've got a way bigger stride than I do! [ luna is like. almost two feet taller than her. ] But a little race wouldn't hurt anyone.
[ She fluffs out her ponytail a bit. ]
Should we go on three?
no subject
[She'd intended to just sort of lightly jog along, as she has with Ferdinand - more for the socialization than the running. But a challenge is different!]
Very well!

I would imagine not, if we were brought here to save this world. Though...
[He inclines his head, considering.]
The rules of this place tell a different story, don't they? "Avoid contact with anyone, or anything, outside the veil."

[ Her head sinks down a bit - low enough for her to plop her chin into the palm of her hand and stare out onto the horizon. The light glittering across the waves is pretty and all but the sight of it just makes her feel oddly lonely. ]
It's bad enough that there's a somebody out there we shouldn't be talking to but if there's a something too... [ Her voice suggests a wry smile. ] I guess maybe that's what all the training stuff is for.
[ Which makes her feel anxious on top of everything else. Athena's not expecting someone like Ai to put up a fight, is she? Surely not. ]

How troublesome. My skill set is better suited to assisting others in combat, not taking to the field myself. I'm sure there are those who will be eager to fight, should it prove necessary... but perhaps we'll be lucky and it won't be necessary.
[Receiving a new power makes that seem rather unlikely, though.]

Cliff
[They all agreed to help. Of course Aglaea did, there was no reason to reject it under her circumstances back home. But she'd be a fool to completely trust some unknown god.]
She could be telling the truth. I couldn't tell if she was or not.
[Frustrating. For the first time in a thousand years, her threads are failing her.]
But gods are fickle creatures. For all we know, there could be thriving civilizations across the horizon, and we've been caged here for more nefarious purposes.

[ With her hands braced flat on the wall lining the cliffside, Ai leans back to stare up into the sky hanging above them. The wind pulls her hair back from her face but it doesn't feel as if she's seeing - or maybe thinking - any clearer. ]
It's like... we only have her word to go on, right? So we have no way of knowing what's true and what's lies. But we're stuck here and there's nothing we can do right now... so what would be the point in lying to us? What would she even get out of it?
no subject
[A brief pause.]
... But I can't be too sure of that, myself. Just from her brief appearance... I'm not sure if I can say that she seems like the type.

[Misane mulls for a moment]
I once heard myths of humans created with sand, or clay, and we do have a god of life among us...

[ Ai doesn't answer right away - her mouth twitches, like the start of an ironic smile, before she lets out a soft huff that might have been a laugh. ]
When you say it like that, it kinda sounds like we're here to do a big crafts project together. Hopefully at least one of us'll turn out to be an artist or something.

Oh, I wasn't worried, thank you.
no subject
It's nice that we've got plenty of room for exercise, huh? I was a little worried at first we were all gonna be cooped up in that... old arena, I guess? Whatever it was before we moved in...
cliff
[he was just kind of chilling, but he's happy to roll over and have a conversation...]
no subject
Mm. I'm a little worried with all the sharp stuff we've got in the storehouse. I'm um... not exactly tough in a fight.

Cliff
Well...obviously, I don't know if it works the same here, but the gods where I'm from can't keep existing without people believing in them. Lose enough believers, and they'll lose their powers too. Athena certainly doesn't seem weak, even if she probably isn't as powerful as she'd like to be to deal with whatever mess this is.
So, I don't know, maybe there are some people out there.
